If you have ever tried to get a seat at the bar at Bouchon, you may relate to this story. Expedia has just ranked Yountville fifth among its 30 most beautiful towns in the nation. Granted number five may not seem like a big deal, but this town know for its charm and gastronomic delights will take it. In case you wonder which hamlet was number one, that honor goes to Florence, Oregon.
After living here for the last thirty years and running businesses for ten years prior to my buying a house here, I do call this place home. The one big drawback for some locals, it does get a bit crowded here on almost any nice weekend and often stays this way all summer. If you would like more about my experiences and some history here, please check out my article published in Bay Area Relocation, 40 Years A Personal Perspective of Yountville.
