The average sold price for a Napa Valley home in 2014 was $774,738 as report by Bay Area Real Estate Information Services, BAREIS, my local MLS. The average sale price in 2013 was $615,527. This is a whopping 25.9 percent increase.
The median price of a county home — half cost more, half cost less — rose 15.3 percent, from $455,000 to $525,000.
While sales prices rose in 2014, the number of Napa County homes sold declined 15.2 percent, from 1,522 in 2013 to 1,290. The average number of days a typical home was listed for sale also dipped, from 91 to 87.
