I just read these facts on one of the blogs I read daily, L. A. Land, and was so taken by the percentage of sugar in these cereals, I felt you might be interesting in seeing this. Though not real estate related, I felt since some many of your child eat cereal on nearly a daily basis, to say nothing about many of the adults reading this, it is good to reminded on how much sugar as a percentage there is.
10 Worst Children’s Cereals Based on percent sugar by weight |
|
1.) Kellogg’s Honey Smacks | 55.6% |
2.) Post Golden Crisp | 51.9% |
3.) Kellogg’s Froot Loops Marshmallow | 48.3% |
4.) Quaker Oats Cap’n Crunch’s OOPS! All Berries | 46.9% |
5.) Quaker Oats Cap’n Crunch Original | 44.4% |
6.) Quaker Oats Oh!s | 44.4% |
7.) Kellogg’s Smorz | 43.3% |
8.) Kellogg’s Apple Jacks | 42.9% |
9.) Quaker Oats Cap’n Crunch’s Crunch Berries | 42.3% |
10.) Kellogg’s Froot Loops Original | 41.4% |
I decided if I was going to list the 10 worst, I should at least print the 10 cereals with the least percentage of sugar. From Harvard School of Medicine, here is their list. Granted these may taste as good and not having kids, it is not my place to advise anything regarding them. Just found it thoughtful, don’t shoot the messenger.
