Granted not what one may consider the normal grace of giving Thanks to all, just mine
When in lack of thanks
One finds the essence of woe
Once more in its depths
Glow gone dim
All brightness gone
Shadows far forgotten
Only then I see true depths
And know the reality of Hell
Forgive my irreverence
Using the capital H
But being mere mortal
Leads beyond
And then a glimpse
A shaken awakening
Some gasp of reality
Into dawn’s brightness
Still blurry eyed to all
Till mere sight returns
I sit up near erect
To realize what
This moment to be thankful
Simple enjoyment a-wonder
For all there is
Lord to be alive cries out
And then I realize
Thank me
For without pen this outcome gone
Thank you
For without all nowhere to go
