With the recent death of Beverley Carter, a real estate agent in the Little Rock, Arkansas are, this month’s email from C.A.R., the California Association of Realtors, from “One Cool Thing”, “Safety First” couldn’t have been timelier.
I always advise my clients to store their valuables, medications and such very securely. Not only out of sight but in a safe place, somewhere where someone viewing their home can not readily find. I had one thief take a few checks but was smart enough to take them from the middle of the checkbook so noone would notice them missing.
The old adage better to safe than sorry, is right on point. Selling your home has enough hurdles so that couple of moments to discuss this with your agent and then take action safely storing all will be worth the effort. cheers cvc
